Adaneka Witter Judge (she/her)
Staff Attorney
Adaneka is a staff attorney leading VLJ’s efforts on elder law and debt relief matters. As part of her work, she provides education, policy advocacy, and direct legal services to seniors experiencing poverty in Essex County to help them navigate the legal challenges they face during their older years.
Previously at VLJ, Adaneka was a New Jersey State Bar Foundation Law Fellow, Law Clerk, and an AT&T Spring 2023 Intern. Before joining VLJ, Adaneka worked in the insurance industry as a legal and regulatory compliance professional.
Outside of VLJ, Adaneka is a member of the NAACP Newark.

Adaneka received her Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law-Newark where she was a member of the Rutgers Association of Black Law Students, Rutgers, Minority Student Program, and Student Bar Association.
She is also a graduate of Montclair State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Justice Studies and Fairleigh Dickinson University with a Masters in Administrative Science.
