Adaneka Witter Judge (she/her)
NJ State Bar Foundation Law Fellow

Adaneka is a New Jersey State Bar Foundation Law Fellow. During her fellowship, Adaneka will lead VLJ’s efforts in elder law and debt relief. She will provide education, policy advocacy, and direct legal services to seniors experiencing poverty in Essex County to help them navigate the legal challenges they face during their older years.

Prior to joining VLJ, Adaneka worked in the insurance industry as a legal and regulatory compliance professional.

While at VLJ, Adaneka was a Law Clerk and an AT&T Spring 2023 Intern, supporting VLJ’s Children’s Representation Program, Debt Relief Legal Program, Divorce Program, South Ward Promise Neighborhood Program, and Tenancy Program.

Adaneka received her Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law-Newark where she was a member of the Rutgers Association of Black Law Students, Rutgers, Minority Student Program, and Student Bar Association. She is also a graduate of Montclair State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Justice Studies and Fairleigh Dickinson University with a Masters in Administrative Science.

Outside of VLJ, Adaneka serves as a member of the NAACP Newark.
