Happy Pro Bono Week!
’Tis the season for celebrating all things pro bono. This week, during National Celebration of Pro Bono, Volunteer Lawyers for Justice (VLJ) will feature some of our amazing volunteers whose generous donation of time and talent ensures access to justice.
Today, we celebrate Han Lin Rong, an associate at Allyn & Fortuna LLP. Han Lin volunteers with our Veterans Legal Program, and she shared her thoughts on the importance of pro bono and why she volunteers with VLJ:
“We sometimes underestimate how much positive impact one clinic session may have on another’s life. People are resilient, and sometimes they just need one more reason to convince them to keep going. Be that reason.
I volunteer with VLJ because I feel fully supported by VLJ, allowing me to bring my undivided attention to the legal issues at hand.”
