How We Do Justice Matters - Excited About the Future

What may be pro bono for a volunteer is a second chance for someone else, and thanks to the efforts of Volunteer Lawyers for Justice volunteer Richard Myslinski (McCarter & English, LLP), that’s exactly what happened. Powerfully put by a recent client of VLJ’s ReLeSe (Reentry Legal Services) Program:

“I am very excited! This was a long journey, I have tried to go for an expungement before but I got discouraged. When I reached out to VLJ you guys were willing to assist me. It took a while but you can't rush greatness. My past record has been hindering me, multiple jobs have been denied and it was discouraging. I have always wanted to work in the post office and now with my record being expunged I can go for the job. The lawyer who assisted me, Richard Myslinski, he was very helpful and notified me every step of the way! He was on track with everything and was so attentive. I am so appreciative of him. He did his job well! Once the state police process the final order I am going to put a full blast on social media about your services talking about how much you guys helped me! Thank you VLJ!”

Because how we do justice matters.
