Requesting IEE, with possible due process request
LH is the mother of WB, a 17-year-old student with special needs, who is anticipate to graduate in June 2023, eligible for special education and related services under the classification category of "other health impaired." He mother believes he is not prepared for community college, and would like to request an Independent Educational Evaluation, specifically, a transition evaluation, to determine his need for a transition program. Representation would include requesting the IEE, and should the district deny the request and file for due process, representing the parent in that litigation (or filing for due process, should the district deny the request and fail to file).
