VLJ’s veterans legal clinic - Sign up
VLJ’s Veterans Legal Wellness Program is a lifeline for veterans who are struggling with legal issues. Reentry into civilian life can be a difficult one, so unfortunately some veterans accumulate legal issues.
At this virtual legal clinic, pro bono attorneys and non-attorneys meet with veterans and military personnel to conduct a holistic legal intake to determine what issues are holding them back, provide advice, screen for merit, and determine crucial next steps for veterans to move forward with their legal issue(s).

Veterans legal wellness clinic - 2026 sign-up
Please use the form below to sign up for an upcoming Veterans Legal Clinic(s).
Important notes for potential volunteers:
Volunteers must make every attempt to be available for the full 3-hour virtual clinic window. Partial coverage impedes VLJ's ability to provide timely services and ensure a good client experience.
Submitting the form below does not guarantee you a volunteer spot. Your volunteer spot will be confirmed by a calendar invite sent from VLJ.
CANCELLATION NOTICE. If you are no longer available to volunteer at a clinic you previously signed up for, please send an email to abravo@vljnj.org ASAP.
Thank you for signing up to volunteer at an upcoming VLJ Veterans Legal Clinic(s)! Before and during your volunteer slot, please reference www.vljnj.org/veterans-volunteer-resources for everything you need to know.
Also remember to add date(s) to your calendar and see you soon!
THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND
Flexible volunteering. If dedicating 3-hours at once (or Thursdays generally), do not work with your schedule, please consider providing pro bono services to veterans outside of the limited-scope clinic setting. For example, veterans commonly need assistance with criminal record expungement, driver’s license restoration, child support modification, and estate planning.
Whether or not you have prior experience in these areas, VLJ provides training and support outside of the clinic setting for volunteers who cannot attend clinics and/or who want to provide additional, life changing services, to high-need veterans. Current opportunities can be found HERE or reach out to VLJ Staff Attorney, Alexandra Bravo (abravo@vljnj.org), for more information about your interests/availability.VLJ partners. If you work with Merck & Co., Inc., PSEG, Prudential, AT&T, Gibbons PC, McCarter & English, Panasonic, or BASF in addition to completing this form, please make sure your internal pro bono coordinator is aware of your interests/availability in volunteering with VLJ.
