Celebrate Pro Bono Week

VLJ celebrates pro bono work every day, but in honor of the American Bar Association's National Pro Bono Week (October 21 to 27), we encourage all of our volunteers to remember the importance of this work and we thank you for your continued dedication to VLJ and our clients.

See below some programs VLJ will be hosting this during the 2018 Pro Bono Week, and feel inspired!

As always, thank you for your continued dedication to VLJ and the clients we serve each and every day, and we hope National Pro Bono Week propels your commitment to pro bono even further!

FREE LEGAL SEMINAR

On Wednesday, October 24th, VLJ will host a free legal seminar, Child Custody - Your Legal Rights, for Newark's South Ward residents. The seminar will take place at the Weequahic Library at 4p.m. and an experienced pro bono attorney will provide an overview of different types of child custody, how to modify child custody, and more.

Help us celebrate by visiting our website to learn more about volunteering for our programs and how to get involved with pro bono.

And if you're unable to join us in the celebration through volunteerism, consider supporting VLJ through a tax deductible donation to show your Pro Bono Week spirit!
