This training is geared towards attorneys who are new to special education law and interested in representing pro bono clients but all who can benefit are welcome. Experienced panelists will discuss:
What to expect at a resolution session, mediation, and settlement conference;
Common issues in special education cases and how to resolve them;
Tips for counseling clients and setting realistic expectations;
Considerations in drafting or reviewing settlement agreement language and provisions; and
How to enforce a settlement agreement.
