Kelsey Lee is a Staff Attorney at Volunteer Lawyers for Justice, where she leads the Veterans Legal Program and works with the Human Trafficking Victims Legal Assistance Program. Prior to joining VLJ, Kelsey served as the Interim Director of Policy and Advocacy Unchained At Last and a research fellow with the Siracusa International Institute for Criminal Justice and Human Rights. While in law school, Kelsey also worked with Global Rights Compliance and Greenpeace International. Kelsey has a special focus on human trafficking through marriage and prior to her time at VLJ helped lead the legislative effort in the first two states to end child marriage in the US: Delaware and New Jersey. She is also an adjunct professor at Kean University Nathan Weiss Graduate College, where she lectures on human trafficking. She has a JD from Temple University Beasley School of Law and a BA in International Studies from American University.
